I was a little skeptical about the 2-hour first burn, but it’s honestly worth the patience—the wax pools so evenly now that I don’t get those annoying tunnels. Trimming the wick to a quarter inch has kept the flame clean with zero black soot, which my white shelf appreciates.

Took the advice to let it melt fully to the edges the first time, and the burn has been perfectly even since. The wick stays clean and there’s zero black smoke when I trim it before each use, exactly as described.
