For en jævn afbrænding skal du lade stearinlyset smelte helt ud til kanten første gang — cirka 2 timer. Før hver brug skal du trimme vægen til 1⁄4 tomme for at undgå sort røg og sod. For bedste resultat bør du undgå at brænde i mere end 3 timer ad gangen og holde vokspuljen fri for snavs. Efterlad aldrig dit stearinlys uden opsyn.
The first burn took the full two hours to melt to the edges, and I was a bit impatient, but it was worth it—the scent filled the room without ever feeling sharp. Trimming the wick to a quarter inch has kept the flame clean and smoke-free every time since.
Followed the wick-trimming advice to the letter, and that first 2-hour melt was worth it—zero soot and the burn pool is perfectly even every time since. The scent itself is subtle but lingers in the hallway for hours after I blow it out.
The whole house smells incredible after just one burn, and I love that the instructions make it idiot-proof—letting it melt to the edges for two hours really did give a clean, even surface. Trimming the wick to a quarter inch before each use has meant zero soot, which is exactly what I needed.
