Para una combustión uniforme, deja que la vela se derrita completamente hasta los bordes la primera vez — unas 2 horas. Antes de cada uso, corta la mecha a 6 mm para evitar humo negro y hollín. Para mejores resultados, evita quemarla más de 3 horas seguidas y mantén la cera libre de residuos. Nunca dejes la vela desatendida.
I let it burn the full two hours on the first go and the wax pooled perfectly to the edges, no tunneling at all. The cassis scent fills the room without being overpowering, and trimming the wick to a quarter inch before each light really does keep the smoke away.
The wick trimming to a quarter inch really makes a difference—no soot at all, even after several burns. I let it pool completely on the first light as instructed, and the melt is perfectly even every time since.
I was skeptical about the 2-hour first burn, but letting it melt to the edges made the second lighting so much smoother. The wick trims easily and I haven't seen a wisp of black smoke since.
